Eco-Friendly Gummed Paper Tape JP-37120E

Key Features

• 100% Recyclable & Plastic-Free: Crafted from renewable Kraft paper and a plant-based starch adhesive, ensuring the entire package remains fully repulpable and biodegradable.
• Tamper-Evident Security: The water-activated adhesive penetrates deep into the box fibers, creating a “fiber-to-fiber” bond that cannot be removed without leaving clear evidence of tampering.
• Extreme Temperature Resilience: Unlike plastic tapes that may lift in heat or crack in cold, gummed tape maintains its seal integrity in warehouse temperatures ranging from sub-zero to high humidity.
• Single-Strip Efficiency: Due to its superior tensile strength, a single strip is typically sufficient to seal a carton, reducing total material waste compared to multiple layers of plastic tape.
• Clean, Professional Presentation: Provides a neat, flat finish that enhances the unboxing experience and is highly receptive to custom branding or handling instructions.

Product Description & Specifications

The JP-37120E Eco-Friendly Gummed Paper Tape is the essential consumable for businesses using automatic sealers like the JA-801 or manual dispensers. By moving away from petroleum-based adhesives, this tape helps eliminate the common problem of plastic tape clogging recycling machinery. Its non-toxic, odorless composition makes it safe for various industries, including food and pharmaceuticals.

Green Comparison: Eco-Friendly Gummed Tape vs. Standard PVC/BOPP Plastic Tape

The difference between paper tape and plastic tape is more than just aesthetics; it is a fundamental shift from a “take-make-waste” model to a “circular” model.

The “Green” Advantage

The most significant “Green” advantage of our Gummed Paper Tape is its bio-integrity. When your customer receives a package sealed with this tape, they can place the entire box—tape and all—into a single recycling bin. This eliminates the “friction” of recycling for the end-consumer. Furthermore, because the starch adhesive is water-soluble, it doesn’t leave behind microplastic residues during the pulping process, making your business a true partner in protecting global waterways and soil health

Applications

• High-Volume E-Commerce: Securely seals medium-to-heavy parcels for domestic and international transit.
• Food & Beverage: Non-toxic adhesive is ideal for secondary packaging in food distribution.
• Valuable Goods: Provides peace of mind for shipping electronics or luxury items where tamper-evidence is critical.
• Long-Term Storage: Adhesive does not degrade over time, making it perfect for archived records or seasonal inventory.

What to Consider When Choosing This Tape

1. Dispensing Equipment: This tape requires a water-activated dispenser (manual or electric) to activate the adhesive. It cannot be used with standard plastic tape guns.
2. Reinforcement Needs: For extremely heavy or overfilled boxes, consider our reinforced version (with fiberglass strands); for standard weight cartons, this non-reinforced paper tape is the most eco-friendly choice.
3. Storage: Keep rolls in a dry, temperate environment to prevent premature activation of the moisture-sensitive adhesive.
4. Box Type: While compatible with most surfaces, it performs exceptionally well on both new and high-recycled content corrugated boxes.
